Penn is a penguin who joins the Synbios army after being found by Synbios. His reason for doing so is that, Synbios fights against the Bulzome Sect which is a threat for Penn's conspecifics.

Background

Penn's egg can be bought by Synbios in Vagabond. Penn eventually hatches if his egg is given to a hen. After hatching he runs away, but when found again by Synbios he joins his army.

Personality

Strategy

Since he joins very late (Chapter 4) at level 1 unpromoted you either have to spend a lot of time leveling him to make him somewhat useful, or wait until the Hero's Test where leveling is still tedious but a bit easier. The best way too level him is by giving him the Elbesem Orb and using it instead of his regular attack.

If you spend enough time he eventually can be promoted, but sadly he will always be one of the weakest characters. This is due to the fact that he can't equip any weapons and unlike the other scenarios there's no mithril weapon for him. Therefore it's wise to equip him with an attack boosting item (Attack Ring, Apollo Pin). It should be considered to give him a magical accessory (e.g. Evil Ring) to boost his damage output, especially when playing on harder difficulties.

Powers & Magic

Penn is a penguin and can only equip Beaks. In scenario 1 he's restricted to his own beak (Penn Beak) and cannot remove it). Penn can equip every accesory but bracers, mage and female accessories.
